Hi Joshua,
We have a collection of fabric gift bags that we re-use year after year. My kids also laugh because we have Christmas paper that we have used and re-used for decades! It's become a fun holiday tradition. And, yep, we do have a dedicated cupboard for Christmas wrapping stuff.

I have posted instructions for making Origami Angel dolls from used Christmas paper.
Here's the URL:

Happy New Year!

My parents still do that. I'd like to, but space generally keeps me from doing so. (Houses seem to have more nooks and crannies than appartments, in my experience.)

Keep me/us posted on what happens when you try to mix glue, wrapping paper, and grandchildren...

Cut up pieces of wrapping paper and glue them, overlapping, around styrofoam balls. This was a craft I did with my daughter and her cousins when they were small. Should try that idea with the grandkids.

Enjoyed your neat wrapping paper suggestions. I grew up in the era of saving all the wrapping paper, reusing it, or finding other uses for it.
