With a “Mom,” Charlie summoned me to sit beside him at the kitchen table last night. He was eating a pack of salmon and California roll sushi and when I sat down, he handed me a piece. “Give Mom!”
I assured him, thank you, but I didn’t want to take away from his dinner.
“Give Mom sushi,” said Charlie again and the California roll was placed in my hand. “Mom, eat!” Charlie glanced up at me and then went back to unrolling the seaweed from the rice and avocado and salmon.
I did as I was told.

“I did as I was told.”
And so you should too!
Anyways, Kristina, how could you resist such a charming invitation to share a meal with your best boy?(sorry Jim! Lol!)
Oh man.
That rocks.
I bet the sushi tasted better than usual
In our house it’s apple wedges…after Nik gets first crack at them. At least Charlie says something and doesn’t just shove them in your mouth! Lucky you!
What a nice guy. He called you over because he wanted to share. That’s sweet.
Very sweet
I’m glad you did what you were told.
I guess in sharing being bossy counts too…lol.
most times my kids know what I need more than I do… good for Charlie!
I love that kid!! And he really loves his mom, to share one of his favorite things.
Does Charlie always unroll his sushi? I don’t think you’ve shared that detail before. Henry likes to take his food apart also.
Very cute. M will do this with Joe, not me. And she always insists he eat things with cheese which neither of them like.
I am not sure what I would do if Charlie gave me a roll to eat since I don’t care for sushi. I guess I would probably eat it.;) If anyone could convince me it would be Charlie.
Yes, he does like to take apart his food—spring rolls and sushi are all “unfurled’ into their component parts.
@Marla—–the roll was half avocado! with seaweed…
That is very sweet.
