Teens are a tricky bunch. My DD came to me on Sat. night with her picture package and the oh so typical statement "I have nothing to wear!" A quick closet check, and she wasn't exagerating. (I hope she's nearly done growing, I just can't afford her.) Off to the outdoor mall Sunday morning. We went to 4 different stores before we found an appropriate outfit. Poor DD, she's 5'4" and 96 lbs, so kid stuff is WAY too short, and teen stuff hangs off of her tiny frame. We picked up an outfit at Banana Republic. I thought I had won. Turns out, she hated the outfit but I was rushing her and I'm the most awful mom EVER, and why can't she just borrow her friends gouchos and wear a t-shirt. This was announced at 10pm on Sunday night. The gouchos were at least 2 sizes to small and gave her a camel toe, and t-shirts are against school policy. Pics are Monday morning. Too BAD, So SAD. Nothing to be done about it now. I will gladly claim my title "WORST MOM EVER!"
