short but sweet Sunday links

I would like to apologize for being a little slow with getting the rest of the “turning photos into art” tutorial. It’s been a challenging weekend to say the least - I just found out that a store I teach at is firing all of their instructors - which includes me… My dishwasher decided to spit dirty water all over the kitchen this afternoon and I’ve got a sick fish. So, I haven’t had a lot of time to sew this weekend!
But luckily, there are lots of other wonderfully creative people in the Lifestyles channel!
- A Creative Journal is offering a free collage sheet from Creative Clown - perfect for scrapbooking, mixed media art, or even printing on to fabric!
- Declutter It has some helpful solutions if you’re like me and end up with serious office clutter.
- Jewelery & Beading has an inspiring interview with self-employed jewelery artist, Heather Powers.
- Layers Upon Layers has a new call for entry for “Altered Couture” - I’m sure I’ve got a few readers around here who could enter
- Junk Creation is writing about one of my favorite things - origami! I would love to try making these stars out of stiffened fabric…
- The Mad Cropper has found a gorgeous planner for scrapbookers - I bet you could use it for all kinds of crafts though
- Quilting & Patchwork is making a mini-landscape quilt - I may have to make one too…
- I’m glad I’m not the only one with UFOs (unfinished objects) - my mom has a few as well - I wonder if that’s where I got it from?

Hi Chloe,
Thanks for the mention. Sounds like it’s been a bad week for you. Things will get better soon, though. Sending hugs your way.
Sorry you’re having such chaos in your life, Chloe. Hope things are much better this week for you. However, you’ve done a nice round-up of creative projects in the Lifestyles channel. Thanks for including Quilting and Patchwork.
Awww! Don’t be too sad. My friend Karyn is going through the same thing. She taught greeting card making and scrapbooking.
Thanks Nix
I would imagine that there are quite a few art & craft instructors, all over North America who are looking for new jobs this week… it was a major company!
