That is such a tough question, because a part of me says "Kick her back", you know "equality" and all that. But really, violence, not matter the perpetrator or the victim, is preferably the last resort. However, what I might do is photograph the bruise, and log every instance that this happens. That information would be useful if things continue and escalate. Beyond have a parent/principle meeting and discussing it, I don't know what to do, especially if the other parents aren't responsive. What did you come up with? I’m not a parent, but I hope to be one on day.
