Show Some Appreciation

It’s not that difficult to do, isn’t it? But, yea, I believe that it’s best for each of you to “show some appreciation” esp if it’s something you or your partner hasn’t done before, which one or both benefited from. This act of kindness will help nourish the relationship, no matter how small it may be.
There are times wherein you would silently wish that he or she would notice that certain something you’ve done for him or her. A change you’ve brought about on yourself in order to please him or her, perhaps. Most of the time, these deeds will be overlooked or some needs go unheeded. We all know how disappointing it is. But we did it for our partners, right? Our expectations should be kept in check.
However, if you admit to wanting the recognition or the ‘appreciation’ what I can recommend is that you, yourself, start showing some. Compliment. Thank him or her for passing you the potatoes or for taking you home. Give him or her a thank you gift and tell him or her explicitly the reason behind the gift. With these things, I reckon he or she will follow your lead and do the same. You’ll begin to notice how he or she will show how he or she appreciates something you’ve done for him or her.
