Sick kid – Part the I have no idea

themometer.jpgSometimes? I am the working parent poster child.

My job is reasonably flexible, but, there are a few times where I must be there during certain hours, no matter what.

This is one of those times.

And, as a teacher, my husband has to be at his job the next few days because of exams.

And, if you’ve been reading here for any length of time, you know what I’m about to say next.

We have a sick kid.

Yes, people deal with sick children all the time, but, mine seem to have an uncanny knack for getting sick Monday mornings. Not Sunday night, not Friday evening when they have the weekend to recover, but, always Monday morning.

You’ll have to take my word on this, but, we have graphic evidence that he’s not faking it, either.

Also, Friday is a very, very important day for kindergarten. And, you guessed it, this important week at work for me includes Friday.

This will require some creative planning, but, we’ll make it work.

However, it may involve putting my 5 year old in a suit and tie and giving him a briefcase and hoping people think he’s a consultant.

Just have him carry lunch in for the office and give him a Novartis or GSK bag. He will pass for a pharma sales rep no problem.

First of all, sorry to hear this. Totally know where you’re coming from.
Secondly, where might I be able to get some bottled up Elizabeth outlook on life? Me be needing some!
