Celebrity Week continues here at Daily Tomorrow and the rest of the Health & Wellness Channel. Today’s featured star is one of the best and brightest of my generation, Leo DiCaprio.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest film is no summer blockbuster, no teary big-budget romance, nothing with a theme-song from Celine Dion. It is, however, an epic saga. The 11th Hour, which was produced and narrated by Leo, is a documentary which explores how we’ve arrived at this moment — how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course.
In addition to creating The 11th Hour which as of April 2008 is available in DVD, Leonardo’s own website (www.leonardodicaprio.org) is completely dedicated to environmental awareness and action. One of the things you can do is add your name to the No Plastic Bags Pledge, which simply asks you to BYOB (bring your own bag) and to
Pay attention to all the other plastic that you are consuming in the form of beverage bottles, food wrapping, product containers, and toys. Take it to the next level:
1. Bring your own mug to the coffee shop.
2. Use a reusable water bottle.
3. Buy beverages in glass and products packaged in cardboard or some other renewable resource.
I can do that! That’s why my signature is #3203. I bet you can too. Let’s see if we can add to his list.
