Signing Times Winner

I briefly considered cheating and just giving this fabulous Signing Times Gift Set to my sister-in-law Janet. But, I just couldn’t do it. Stupid conscience.
Random.org drew the number 6 instead of 8. Bummer. Maybe taunting my sister-in-law with an almost-prize wasn’t such a kindness afterall.
The winner of this fantastic prize is Betty Nations. She mentioned her grandchildren have learned a few signs from a book and now they’ll be proficient.
This fantastic gift set is worth $99 and includes
* 4 Baby Signing Time DVDs
* 4 Baby Signing Time CDs
* FREE Good Night Baby CD
I can’t say enough about how effective Signing Times is in helping children and parents communicate.
Zack has been exposed to some, but not that much and we use signs frequently.
The nursery worker came up and said Zack, only 2.5 is such an uncharacteristically good sharer for a toddler. I give his parents (us) credit, because we do teach sharing around here, and generosity and kindness – and we use the sign “Share.”
I can’t say exactly why but, Zack feels the sign “share” is irrefutable. If he resists sharing at first, when I use the sign for “share” he immediately shares.
Maybe he really likes Rachel (the Mom in the videos) , maybe he really gets the concept with the sign . . . I don’t really know.
But, I make use of it. He is enthralled by every single video.
We’ve been using signing to potty train and clean up too.
Love it. If you are the parent of a toddler signing will ease the frustration of ah, ah, ahing and screaming and crying for stuff too.
I’m so jealous of Betty. Man, I don’t want to tell my sister-in-law either. She’ll be so disappointed.
