For Today…
Outside my Window…The sun is all ready a force to be reckoned with. We have had 104 days lately! The birds are chirping. I can hear the clanging of the feed buckets as my son feed the goats and chickens.
I am thinking…I am sorry we missed blueberry picking this year. We missed last year because Marc was int he hospital, this year we just lost track of time and waited too long. :::Sniff::: and we missed it by ONE DAY.
I am thankful for…Marc’s health is improving! Thank you for your prayers!
From the kitchen…I have a Daring Bakers Challenge due on Wednesday that I need to do today!
I am creating… a cookbook! I have a contract to write a cookbook.
I am going… grocery shopping for sure! Our cupboards are bare.
I am wearing…Pajamas, as usual.
I am reading…Not much right now!
I am hoping…The tenant that has our investment home tied up in county court moves before the mortgage company forecloses..she has not paid rent since February..sigh..
I am hearing…The click of the ceiling fan in the Reception Parlor
Around the house… We deep cleaned on Saturday..so just picking up and tying up loose ends today.
One of my favorite things…The quiet house in the morning.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…Blogging, and working ont he cookbook, reorganizing the schedule.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

I LOVE cookbooks, how exciting that you are writing one
Congratulations on writing a cookbook! That sounds wonderful!
So sorry you missed the blueberries! We went blueberry picking on Saturday, but missed picking raspberries.
Blessings,
Michele
Thanks Pat! Prayers are what is getting us through!
Sandra! Thank you!
Michele- we don;t have the opportunity for raspberries here…but i am so frustrated about the blueberries!
The cookbook deal sounds good! We don’t have any blueberries to pick here in Iowa. I loved doing that when we lived in Missouri.
Good luck with your tenant, I am so sorry to hear this. But congratulations on your cookbook contract, that IS fabulous news.
Ohhh, I’m with ya on missing the blueberries!! We live in the desert now and that’s the one thing I seriously miss~ Michigan blueberries!!
Wow, a cookbook!! You’ll have to keep us updated on it! I love cookbooks!!
Thanks for sharing,
Robyn
Terri…but..but..you have…corn…
Nicole thanks!
Robyn- I will tell you..I seriously miss Michigan MELONS!
Wow, you’re writing a cookbook? How exciting!! Guess I’ll have to get some of those great corn tortilla recipes from you?
Blueberries are in their prime here! My Mom and I have been going for years to a place south of us.
We will be praying all goes well with your tenant.
Keep me informed on the cookbook….I’d like to buy a copy.
Thanks for visiting my blog! Your Daybook post is so full of wonderful information about yourself and your family - I hope that all goes well for you!

Jen..I wish I had not missed !!!!!
Chrissy- thanks for stopping by…
Wow - a cookbook! What talent you have! Loved your post today. We have some blueberry plants, just patio ones here in MO. This is only the second year for them, so I am going to make some cream puffs and mix the berries with whipped cream to go inside! Meanwhile, we are buying 10 pounds from the local Mennonite store! Much love - Raquel XO
Those sound so good, Raquel!
Is that your daughter? She is lovely!
Congratulations on the cookbook!
Yes..that is Shiloh..she is one of our 3 girls..and they are all lovely…which is why God gave us 5 sons to protect them…LOL!
Congrats on the cookbook deal! How exciting! What’s your cookbook going to cover?
I’ve always wanted to write a cookbook. Mine would have vegetarian recipes for all the Jewish holidays and Shabbat. Jewish cookbooks seem to always be heavy on the meat and chicken; there don’t seem to be too many of us Jewish vegetarians.
Fern, I knew some Jewish vegetarians once…and hae you seen the wholefoods cookbook by Nikki and David Goldbeck? If I remember correctly it has alot of the traditional Jewish recipes in it. I used mine until it disintegrated.
coo book will be…what else? COokies and brownies!~
Sorry about your tenant. I haven’t met a person yet who has rentals but hasn’t had a tenant like that. So sad.
I’m going to have to check out that Daring Bakers Challenge a bit more. We are GF, sometimes CF.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

Thank you for the comment on my blog! You are south of Dallas huh? DH and I are actually moving to a house in Keller this weekend. Know that area? I couldn’t believe yesterday’s temp!! It was 95 degrees at 10 pm last night - crazy!! Congrats on your contract for the cookbook! What type of food will it be for?
Java-thanks for stopping by!
Becky, we are in Lancaster, between Dallas and Waxahachie. It was VERY hot last night..we don;t use air conditioning and even at 2 a.m.it was crazy hot! Keller is a nice area. The cookbook is for cookies.
