Singer Missy Elliot adopting because she’s afraid of childbirth pain?

I was kind of hoping that this story wasn’t true. It’s like the stories of celebs who have Cesarean sections because they’re afraid of going into labor. I’m not against adoption – I think it’s great – but there are so many women who want to adopt because they can’t have kids but there are so few infants available. But, I guess, who said life was fair, right?

The sad thing is though, that childbirth doesn’t have to be painful. There are pain relief options available for childbirth. Anyway, you can read about Missy Elliot and her desire for kids, as long as it’s pain-free here: Missy Elliot Planning To Adopt Children.

If you had an option – would you have chosen a c-section of vaginal birth? Don’t forget, a section is still major abdominal surgery, even if it is common.

I’d give my left arm to not have a section. I don’t know what it is, but that’s something I’d rather not do. I know too many people that seem to have them just because it’s convienent.

As a side note, I’m experiencing some dizziness issues (22 weeks) today, accompanied by a headache and an upset stomach. My doctor wants me to keep an eye on it and take my blood pressure if I can (I can’t). Something just doesn’t feel right. Grrrrr.

I think either way, its gonna hurt. Might as well do it the regular way unless theres a prob.
