Sisters on Sojourn Website Update

On rereading this old blog entry I discovered that the Sisters on Sojourn have in fact changed their website. They now have Journal Revolution, which promotes their book of the same name: Journal Revolution: Rise Up & Create! Art Journals, Personal Manifestos and Other Artistic Insurrections.
I’m looking for the instructions to the image transfer I originally saw on their website. Maybe it’s on their blog? I couldn’t find it. Doesn’t mean it isn’t there. But Cyndi provides a simple and similar tutorial here.

Thanks for this resource, Heather. I ordered their book right away because it looked like just the thing I like. Can’t wait to get it
Hi Heather,
Here are my original instructions from Sisters On Sojourn:
It is all in the tape! As you begin to experiment more and find your own style, you may want to start incorporating found images and text into your pages. This process is addicting so be warned! What you need is clear packing tape and black and white or color photo copies of images or text, magazines or newspaper (be careful not to violate any copyright laws when using images from magazines or newspapers) , a soft bristle toothbrush and warm water. Cover the image or text you want to use with a piece of tape. Burnish the tape to the paper using a bone folder or popsicle stick (or your finger) then soak the paper with the tape stuck on it in warm water for a few minutes. Soon the paper will start to loosen and you can rub the paper off the tape and the image or words will remain on the tape. Under warm running water, with the toothbrush, gently scrub the paper residue off the tape. The tape with the image on it will still be slightly tacky. Let the tape dry. Trim the excess tape from around the image. Then, attach it to your surface with Matte Medium (we use Golden).
Hi Olivia,
No worries. Looks to be a very interesting book so far as visual journal writing goes. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for those instructions. I’ll make sure all my readers see this with a blog entry on the topic later today. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
Linda,
Thanks for the great image transfer tutorial. I can’t wait to try it!
Hi Eileen,
Yes, it’s a great tutorial, which I’ve used several times myself. Thanks for letting me know you found it useful.
