PR Web — People Search News study has shown skeptical singles that are flocking to online dating sites such as eharmony.com,
PerfectMatch.com and Match.com
are utilizing people search tools that are available from services such as People Search News that can be purchased by online dating service subscribers.
The most common requested was a complete background check. “Background checks are great because they typically include a wide range of information that can give you insight into your date’s past.” Most background checks include a person’s marital and divorce history - criminal history, age and alias information, lists of possible relatives, and even the names and addresses of neighbors. Have you or would you ever consider utilizing investigative searches on potential love interests?
Although I can certainly understand one’s desire for conducting such a search, I truly believe that IF a person feels the need to conduct such a search then the person is obviously NOT the right one for you.

Not all dating sites do background checks. Therefore, to not protect yourself by performing a background check on someone that you met online is an incredibly unsafe decision. Your perfect match may even be already married! No matter how nice or wonderful a person seems, they may have a criminal past. Love shouldn’t be blind.
