Sleep & Other Non-Journal Related Matters

Sometimes the little routines I have going in my day get messed up. But that’s ok. I don’t really mind. I like routines because they help me get things done, but sometime it’s good to change things around a little, have a bit of a shake up. Today was a perfect example of this. While I was on my regular morning walk I found it incredibly difficult to walk at my usual pace. Each step was a struggle, as if walking through thigh high water. When I got home hubby suggested I stretch out on the bed and have a rest, which I did and promptly fell asleep. He left me there and I ended up sleeping for over three hours. I must’ve been exhausted.
Of course this messed with my plans for the day, but I needed that sleep. I also found writing in my journal at a different time of day, and on my own for a change, a good thing. I was really able to go into an issue that’s been troubling me lately. Even though this entry doesn’t have a lot to do with journal writing, I’m just going to suggest you make a slight change or take a nap, often suggested by SARK, too. It might just bring you the extra energy or change in your day that you’re missing.
