Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles are simple to make and everyone loves them. If you are looking for an easy cookie recipe this holiday season, these are a fabulous choice. This recipe is for a big batch – perfect for a holiday party, bake sale or get together.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds on medium speed.
- Beat in 2 cups sugar, along with baking soda and cream of tartar, scraping sides until well combined.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla.
- Beat in flour until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar to coat.
- Place balls onto a cookie sheet (sprayed with cooking spray), two inches apart.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are slightly brown.
- Remove from sheets to cool on wire racks.
Makes 5 dozen cookies.
