Snow Pants Out of Sleeping Bag

Brrrrr.

It seems that the Anchorage Daily news has a story that mentions a junk creator.

According to their article titled “South skiers heat up skiathalon on biting day” (authored by Kevin Klott), not everyone was freezing at the event:

“I don’t think there’s anyone complaining,” said Homer coach Jan Spurkland. “It’s an outdoor sport.”

Easy for him to say. The former Dimond skier kept warm in his puffy blue snow pants made from an old sleeping bag he bought at Salvation Army, while most skiers wore paper-thin Lycra suits.

“Hats off” to you, Spurkland.  I’d love to get the pattern…
