Soccer Ball House

My son loves this house I found. The Barier, or soccer ball shaped houses are built by a Japanese company and some are big enough to live in. Although, some are just big enough for a shower.

I like the idea of turning it into a camper.

Inner shiny wood visual. It would make a quirky nice office; but people would be coming up and knocking all the time.

This is a view of two together to make a double level. The following drawing shows how this would work. Well, actually I guess it would be a triple level.

Flashy light and bright upper windows.

All shape, all colors.

I don’t know. My son LOVES it but I’m not so much a sports person. I think I’d rather live in a Frisbee shaped house (go Frisbee) and that frankly would be a tight fit.
What about you?

umm….I think that if we are going with sports mine iwll have to be a barn.
I especially love the last photo. Everyone in the family gets their own little soccer ball to live in. All you need is lots of space lol…
A barn Marye; is that technically a “sport” I wonder…
Thanks for stopping by Shopaholic; that is a pretty good plan. In one of the photos at their site they even showed one as a dog house so pets are covered — maybe not fish
I’m against living in balls.
My husband is so tall, he’d hit his head all the time.
Barn? A sport? That Marye…she’s so funny.
You know though, my boys would love these as a playhouse in the backyard. Now that would be cool!
You’re against living in balls. That is way too funny of a statement. I bet you’re the first and last to use it. Maybe Marye is into cow wrestling or pig catching — wait, are those sports? The playhouse idea is excellent. You know Cedar loved them but he said, “I could never live in a hexagon” What’s that about! He’s six. He’s got to stop talking like a tiny adult.
My kids would love soccer ball houses, too! While it might not be practical for the family, I could see one of these making a great playhouse or doghouse. Of course, the architect might be insulted if he/she hears my suggestion of turning it into a doghouse, but it would make a cute alternative to the plastic igloo doghouses that you see in pet stores.
No, the architects have a picture of a dog in one at their site — and it is a pretty cool doghouse. So I don’t think they’d mind at all. They had one that was only a jet shower; water everywhere. Crazy folks.
what are the prices and who is the contractor who turned it into a tripple-decker?!
People who think these soccer balls are a bad idea, the are bomb resistant, they are solar powered and if your not a sports fan get off this site.
