Solar Plastic

Konarka is a company that works on solar powered products and it has recently announced that it has created a type of thin plastic which has the ability to convert the sun’s energy into power. With the plastic being solar and being really thin that it looks like a kind of film, it can be used in various stuff like toys, clothes, and even your car’s windows. The chairperson of Konarka has mentioned that because of the success of this product, they are looking at embedding the solar plastic right into various gadgets and stuff. They are looking at countless ways of using their product. At present, they are already working on producing more so as to be able to send out shipments of the product to the market by the third quarter of this year.

I’m thinking that since this is made from a type of plastic, isn’t this going to be harmful to our environment if they get disposed?

Pick your battles, plastic for energy? or oil for plastic?
If we can replace throwaway batteries with this stuff, were already on the right track.
