Solar Powered Electric Car Kit

It is not pretty but it works!   When somebody mentions solar car, most of us might think about those slick aerodynamic solar powered cars that are used for solar car races but hey, here is something that is more down to earth practical.

You can actually build a complete this street legal solar powered electric vehicle!    And now it comes in a kit.

I’ve seen this a few months ago in a website somewhere and it was actually a project developed by Art Haines and by a few high school students.

Now, it is available as a kit for about $4500 (excluding solar panel and batteries).

This kit will enable you to build your own street legal Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (Low Speed Vehicle). No special tools are required. The manual has exploded view drawings and step by step instructions.
