Some great tips on siblings sharing a room

Right now my oldest has the smallest bedroom in our apartment and my youngest still sleeps in our bedroom. The third bedroom is used as a studio by my husband. Within the next month or so, we’re planning on swapping – the studio will get moved to the little room and the bigger room will become a shared room for both our daughters. We can’t give up the studio in order to give them each their own room because the studio provides income to our family. You just can’t record music for clients in your living room.
By the time they’re old enough to really truly want their own space I’m hoping we’ll be somewhere larger, preferably a house where the studio can be in the basement and they can each have a room, but for now we have to figure out ways to make one room work for two girls.
This is perfect timing because over at Declutter It there is an excellent post about how to organize a shared bedroom for your kids as well as some mistakes you should avoid.
If you’re heading down this road too, I highly recommend reading the post. I’d also love any additional tips that you might have if you’ve got experience in this area.

Thanks for the link! Sharing rooms can be tough, but I think having parents be sympathetic and flexible about it helps.
