Something Blue

My husband and I celebrate our anniversary on a unique holiday, one that we love but can get a tad difficult. The good thing about getting married on that day wa that almost every one of our guests were able to attend because it was a national holiday and a four day weekend.

When we started our wedding planning there were two choices for dates; one in early June and one on the Third of July. The early June date did not work because I was still teaching so we opted for the third, not realizing the impact it would forever have on our lives.

It has turned out to be a wonderful anniversary. We are always surrounded by friends and family, festivities, and our children. And the best part, as my mother says? We will always have fireworks.
