Something Fun for Quilters

Do you need something light and fun and cheerful for your day?  It doesn’t have anything to do with quilting or fabric art, except that it might inspire you in designing.  However, sometimes we need something to give us an uplift and inspiration.

When I read Jennifer’s post, 32 Little Green Babies,  at Tree Hugging Family,  a new b5media blog, I thought I simply must share it.  Then I shared, in the comments section, about my family rescuing baby ducklings.  (That might make a duckling inspired wall hanging!)

Thank you for the link! Also, a turtle quilt or blanket is a great idea. My best friend has one baby and another on the way and she loves and collects turtles so I’m always looking for new kid turtle ideas for her.

  2. Jennifer, since your friend likes and collects turtles, a coverlet with turtle motif would be ideal for the new baby. Perhaps you can find fabric with turtles printed on it. Or design a turtle and applique it on quilt patches. The little turtle on the book cover could be adapted for applique. Of course, you’d change it somewhat, but it gives you an idea.
