Sorry Popeye, No Thanks to Bagged Spinach

Warning: Do NOT buy any bagged spinach. Not unless you want to risk your life. People are getting sick and dying from an outbreak of E. Coli.
According to this WebMD article:
The FDA is advising consumers not to eat bagged, fresh spinach while it probes a multistate outbreak of E. coli which has reportedly killed one person and sickened 50 others.
I wish I’d known this before I made spinach salad twice last week! We’ve managed to survive, but no more for us. We’ll stick with romaine leaves for a while, thank you very much.
