Sorting out Worry

Sorting Out Worry

I have to admit my mind isn’t really on this or anything much else today. I am worried about my little boy. He’s not well and I suppose for any parent that is natural. Since I couldn’t really think I made a search for journal writing prompts on worry and came across Jennifer Hollowell’s Mixed Media Arts article on Suite101; Art Journal to Sort Worries.

Make sure you go and read the article, but I just love the idea of having all those worries written down “and then transform them into something creative and inspiring.” It’s a fantastic idea and I think I will use this one myself today. That is once I check on the little guy again.

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below.

    Hi Heather;

    It’s never easy when someone in the family or a special person is not well and that is ten hundred X more true when the sick person is a child.

    Sending hugs and prayers through cyberspace that he gets all better very fast. And a special hug to you – just hang in there and keep your faith.

    I’ll be thinking of you and your little boy.

  2. Thanks so much Bonny. I am much more relieved, after seeing the doctor today, that my little boy only had a three day virus. He still wasn’t well, but is doing a lot better now. I appreciate the love you sent to us. Thanks for your comment. ;-)

    Heather, I’m so sorry that your little one is sick. What could worry a mom more than that? I’m so glad that you’ve found a creative way to deal with it. My best wishes for him to recover quickly!

  4. Thanks Zura,
    He is doing a lot better now. He was suffering from a three day virus, which was a relief to me. He’s still a little out of sorts, but much better. In fact, he’s sitting in his bed reading Looking for a Moose with his dad’s torch. ;-)

    You have no idea how complimented I feel right now – thank you so much for using my article to help you through such a difficult time. It’s interesting because, I write these things and constantly wonder if they’re useful to anyone. Thank you for giving me that validation. I hope everything goes okay with your little one!! ::super cyber hugs::

  6. Hi Jenn,
    I’m so glad you feel the compliment. It was most certainly intended. My little boy was ill, but it turned out to be a three day virus, which he recovered from quickly. Keep up the great work with your articles. Thanks for letting me know how happy this entry made you. ;-)
