Good Monday morning, readers!
I know one of the least desirable things to talk about on a Monday morning in July is fog; however, I’m going to anyway.
Laura Bzowy over at CFS Squared asked me a question a month or so ago.
Do you suffer from brain fog?
Um, how do I answer without sounding like my puppy jacked up on Wal-mart’s Great Value brand Columbian coffee? (Yes, that’s what I’m drinking and no, I don’t really feed it to Chopper.)
Do I suffer from brain fog?! Me?! The most absentminded girl in the world?!
Luckily, I was able to answer via our message board:
I frequently suffer from brain fog, haha. Leaving things in my pockets to be destroyed by the washing machine, forgetting appointments, calling friends/family then not remembering why, driving down the road and suddenly wondering a) where am I? b) where am I going again? or c) both, leaving apartment keys dangling in the front door all night…you get the idea.
I’ve been a bit absentminded all my life, but a lot of the more serious stuff now deals with the medicine I take.
Luckily, also, Laura had some suggestions for me that I actually haven’t tried yet. Check them out.
Now it’s your turn, readers. Do you suffer from brain fog? Is it due to a condition such as a mental illness, or is it just plain absentmindedness? How do you deal with it?

If you mean fog in your mind? I am very fimiliar with foggy hazing vision and what it is leading up to for me. I was dignoased in 2001 with hypo-mania in which causes me to have great bursts of energy thoughts and creativity. The fact that i am naturaly hyper and that caffine has the oppisite effect on me. A nice vanilla lata is the only thing that calms me when I am on the brink of what I call “HYPENOUT.” Strange? Yes-No My friends tell me I should have my on comedy network in so many words. What they think is insanly funny is keeping me normal most of the time.
Haha, I love the way you describe it! “Hypenout” – that’s great, and describes it perfectly
I think I’ll start using it, too.
