South Beach Check-In: Week 3

South Beach Diet LogoThis week I’ve lost 2 pounds. Not spectactular, but it’s nice to finally be having some success. I added back one grain a day this week. I also just added fruits yesterday, so we’ll see what effect that has.

Thanksgiving was a relative success, although I probably ate too much. I had a few bites of pie and some stuffing, but other than that I had mostly green bean casserole (both my mother and mother-in-law made some). I was up a pound the next day, but I quickly lost it.

This next week I would like to lose around 2.5 pounds, which could be doable since I barely exercised last week (just worked a lot due to the week of Black Friday). There was no yoga on Thanksgiving, of course. I plan to go twice this week.

Overall, it’s been a good week, and I don’t intend to let the holidays derail me.
