It does look like the battle for the largest has always been going on. Take a look at the Guinness Book Of World Records and you would see a lot. Well, in the category of solar power stations, report has it that Spain is going to be the location of the world’s largest solar power station that has solar panels built on the rooftop. This station can convert the sun’s rays and make it into usable 12 megawatts. Two million square feet would be occupied by solar panels. There would be around 85,000 units of solar panels which would take up this space.

The solar panels are actually going to be installed on General Motors’ facility in Zaragoza which is the eastern part of Spain. This project is just one of the car maker’s plans in using solar power. They are yet to install such in 11 of their other plants in Europe.
