Squeaky Carpeted Floors

I just bought an older house about a year ago and in that year have discovered a few squeaky spots, which mostly are under to carpets.  Downstairs the basement has been finished with ceiling tiles installed.  This like most people it has had me scratching my head until I started to research how to go about fixing this problem.  After seeing this one video and seeing what to do and the product to use, I feel I should have done this a lot sooner.

The best and most informative way was on this old house web site video.

After watching this you will see at the top of the video a shopping list and tool list to help you getting all the right products to make your job easier.  Down near the bottom of the page people have stated they have been able to purchase the Squeeeek No More floor repair kit at Menards, Ace Hardware and Lowe’s Hardware.  However I tried checking out the web sites without any luck, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have it there.

The nice thing about this job is you only need a hammer and a power drill to do it.
