Steps to Being a Better Partner – How Far Would You Go?

For many of us, we’re old enough to have been there, done that, when it comes to relationships. We’ve developed our shopping list of sorts on what it’s going to take to get us and absolutely what it’s going to take to keep us.

It seems everyone puts their best foot forward in establishing a new relationship, but how many actually maintain upkeep patterns during the life of that relationship?

I’ll admit, I struggle with the feeling that something is lacking quite often – and many times I wonder if it’s not just me being over sensitive or too demanding.

That’s where you come in…

What are some of things your own partner MUST DO, undeniably, absolutely, NO changing your mind – must, must, must do to keep you happy in a relationship?

And to take this one step further, what exactly is it that you think YOU must do in a relationship to keep it healthy?

  1. Well, for me it is the same thing I expect in friendship: If there is a problem the other person has with me, tell me about it. I can’t read minds and waiting for the person to figure out what you want is just going to make things worse. In return, I do my best to communicate honestly in return. There was a friend I had that I added that I originally talked to because I thought she was the more attractive person in the picture. I didn’t feel right about that, so I told her. It made her feel bad, but I’m not going to hide that even I can be shallow at times. She was still an okay friend too.
