Steve Jobs, founder and head of Apple, has apparently undergone a liver transplant according to a source. The reported operation took place two months ago in Tennessee. This information would go hand-in-hand with the information that Jobs took a medical leave of absence in January.

A liver transplant typically take “five or six hours.” About 6,000 operations are done each year in the U.S.

Steve Jobs is expected to be back to work at Apple at the end of this month.
