Stop at 3 Today and Honor Memorial Day

Memorial Day has become a day of cookouts, fun in the sun, and family time. But the real meaning of this holiday is to honor those who have died in fighting for our freedom. Today, Americans are requested to stop whatever you are doing at 3:00 today and take a minute to appreciate what Memorial Day really represents.

Congress created this National Moment of Remembrance, and says that “The time 3 p.m. was chosen because it is the time when most Americans are enjoying their freedoms on the national holiday.” Observances of this holiday will happen all over the country, at parades, baseball games, and in private homes.

We stopped by the cemetary around 3pm, it wasn’t intentionally done at that time but that’s what we did.
