If you’re a smoker, there’s something really special you can do for your pets during National Pet Week — quit! If quitting is out of the question for you, consider smoking outside, away from your pet.

Secondhand smoke may cause lung and nasal cancer in dogs and lymphoma in cats, not to mention allergy and respiratory problems.
The American Legacy Foundation is a national independent public health foundation providing resources to smokers who want to quit. You can join their community of smokers trying to kick the habit for their pets. For just get more info at becomanex.org.
