smart-shelf-organizer When you organize anything by category, it’s just easier to keep track of your belongings and find them when you need them.

Here are some examples for the kitchen:

  • Store all of your canned vegetables together in one column in the pantry or kitchen cabinet. You will be able to instantly take a look and see what you are running low on.
  • Store all your baking items in one area. Not only will you be able to see what you are running low on, but it will also make baking things easier because you won’t have to go round everything up.
  • Store onions and different kinds of potatoes in baskets next to each other. You can see when you are low or when they may be going bad.
  • Store all your plastic wrap, foil, ziplock bags and trash bags in one drawer or cabinet. This will help you keep those items well stocked.

Storing like items together just makes life easier. It will speed up your time in the kitchen and will enable you to keep stock of the staples that you need.

Tackle one shelf and one drawer in your kitchen at a time so that you won’t feel overwhelmed.
