Summer plans

quilt.jpgOne of my favorite authors, Susan Ito, has a new post up at Life in the Sandwich.

Plays Well With Others is the beautiful story about how she got her elderly mother involved in some social activities, and, more importantly, helped her develop new friendships.

It’s very timely for me as my father is finished with school for the year, and, will find himself with more free time than he’s had in a little while, as the past 2 or so summers were very busy taking care of my mother, and, my uncle always came for an extended visit in June.

Actually, though I’m sure he misses his brother, the extended visits probably not so much, as they were very different people, and, my uncle was a talker.

Boy, was he a talker.

Anyway, we’re going on vacation in July, and, his niece is coming for a visit later next month, so, there are a few things planned. However, I’m still trying to figure out if I should be concerned about his summer plans, or, not.

But, then again, there’s always his decorating to keep him busy.
