Summer Reading List Update
Earlier this week I challenged everyone to help me build a reading list for kids 8-18 this summer. I have had a great response so far. Here is what we have to date:

- Christopher Paolini; great book for boys ages 10-18
- Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-6)
- J.K. Rowland; for boys and girls ages 10+
- Baseball Boxed Set
- Matt Christopher; boys and girls ages 8+

- Anne of Green Gables Series
, by L.M. Montgomery - great books for girls of all ages
- The Chronicles of Narnia
, by C.S. Lewis - wonderful for all ages as well
- Little House on the Prairie Series
, by Laura Ingalls Wilder - girls of any age should enjoy these
Katelyn at Free Holiday Ideas recommends:
- Emily of New Moon by L. M. Montgomery
- Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
- 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Lynnae from Under the Clutter likes:
- The Animal Ark series by Ben M. Baglio. This is a great series for young animal lovers. Ages 8+.
- The American Girls Collection. Historical fiction for girls. Ages 8+.
- Young Women of Faith: Lily Series by Nancy Rue. Christian fiction centered around a 6th grade girl named Lily. Ages 8+.
Gayle at Parenting Teens recommends:
- The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot Girls ages 12&up.
- Lord of the Flies by William Golding Grades 10&up, according to School Library Journal. One of the classics, which most of us have to read at some point in our high school career.
- The Da Vinci Codeby Dan Brown Adults & older teens.
And Erin recommends the Betsy and Tacy series.
