Sun Safety for Kids: 5 Easy Steps

FUN IN THE SUN SUMMER HATS“In summer — or any season — protecting kids from the sun’s harmful rays is a must.”

The Skin Cancer Foundation estimates that 80% of lifetime sun exposure occurs during childhood — and that just one blistering sunburn can double the risk of getting melanoma later in life.

That is a scary thought and I cringe every time I see a baby in a stroller without a hat. I can only hope that the parent remembered the sunblock. But a hat is a good idea too… and they are just soooo cute!
