As a early childhood practitioner, I definitely agree with balancing the technology with real play experiences. More and more of the children I work with have tactile and gross motor challenges due to (my opinion) more emphasis on technology. As mother of 2 tween girls, technology is here to stay. Don't fight it, but make sure your kids are educated in the many beneficial applications. My daughters are taking classes in web design and e-commerce this summer. Informative article.
