Regarding the Convenience Store story on kids getting junk food before and after school: One thing that I've noticed recently is how my 16 year-old, who drives to school with her sister, loves to stop in Starbucks whenever we come within visual range of one, and get some kind of mocha or smoothie, both of which I know are loaded with calories. I've told her Starbucks should be a "treat." That means once in a while, not everytime you're near one (and please disregard my going to one nearly every day; that's just coffee (and maybe a muffin), not smoothies. Am I right, or am I a scrooge?
