Super Fat Tuesday
Tomorrow is a big day, not only is it Fat Tuesday, or, Mardi Gras, it’s also Super Tuesday in many states in the United States where we hold primary elections to select delegates to conventions where each political party’s candidates for president are officially nominated.
No wonder nobody understands our political process.
Anyway, for working parents that means many of us will have to squeeze in time to vote in between our jobs and getting the kids to and from school or other daytime activities.
If your state is holding a primary, be sure to get out there and vote.
If your state isn’t holding a primary, or, if you don’t live in the United States, then get out there and, “Throw me something, Mister!”
Me?
If you’re out of beads, I’ll just take a completely prepared dinner for 5, or, even 3 kids showered with homework done if you’ve got them on your float.

As a Canadian, I think it is interesting that Mardi Gras evokes beads and dubloons in you while I’m looking forward to pancakes for supper. Somehow Mardi Gras has evolved from Fat Tuesday into Pancake Tuesday. Pancake Tuesday is to Lent what Santa is to Christmas – you don’t even have to know the why of it to participate. Good luck with voting and supper.
