Surgery or pain management for back injuries – one better than the other?

Have you been considering surgery for your chronic back pain? Has your doctor suggested that it might be a solution for you?

Surgery always seems to be such a drastic step but if it’s needed, it really should be seriously considered. I found this article, Interdisciplinary chronic pain management vs. back surgery: Which is right for you?, written by Andrew R. Block, PhD in May 2007.

In this article, Dr. Block talks about study findings and the fact that many people may actually do just as well – or maybe better – with chronic pain management rather than surgery.

However, as we all know, that really means proper and effective chronic pain management.
