How many diabetics test their blood sugar level as often as they should? A recent survey by Omnibus shows that almost 40% of the people with diabetes do not test as often as recommended by their doctors. The survey found the following reasons for not testing regularly
- Having to reprick
- Painful testing
- Wondering if the test result is really accurate
- Difficulty drawing a large enough sample of blood
- Having to retest due to an error message
1002 people participated in the survey and they were drawn from 3,400 households. The survey also found that 95% of the participants were ready to change brands to reduce the pain of testing. Get more details of the survey here
