Sutter Home’s Build a Better Burger Contest

Do you have the ultimate burger recipe? Well, it is not too late to enter the Sutter Home Build a Better Burger Contest. The last day to enter is August 18th, 2008.
You can choose to enter the Beef category or the Alternative category. The Grand Prize Winner of the Beef category wins $50 ,000 and the winner of the Alternative category wins $10,000. They want burgers that are representative of a region or tradition you are familiar with. They are looking for original recipes that have a story. In fact, part of the contest requires you to provide a brief written introduction of “why this is a great local American burger”. Finalists are broken down to regions of the United States.
