Sweet Dreams – One of My Favorite Children’s Books

When my triplets were born, a friend of my parents’ gave us a copy of Sweet Dreams by L.C. Falken and illustrated by Lisa McCue. I was immediately captivated by the book which tells the story of three bunnies and their mother as the bunnies play outside, eat dinner and get ready for bed.
The story is adorable, but the illustrations in the book are what separate it from all the other children’s books we have. The pictures are colorful and really make you feel like you’re part of the story.
If you ever saw our copy of Sweet Dreams, it would be very obvious that it’s one of the most popular books in our house. The pages are crinkled and torn from use with almost everyone taped back together.
Sweet Dreams actually comes in three different versions. The hard cover version that my family has (called Sweet Dreams), a smaller board book (called Snuggle Bunnies) and a version sold through the Christian book market (called Good Night, God Bless). Each version was given a different title because slight modifications were made for the different formats.
I highly recommend Sweet Dreams, and I’m very happy to announce that Lisa McCue who illustrated Sweet Dreams as well as many other popular children’s books (my triplets love the Corduroy series that she illustrated) has agreed to participate in an interview that will appear on One Book Two Book very soon. Stay tuned or subscribe to the One Book Two Book feed so you don’t miss it!
