Take It As A Challenge

Well, it is a challenge, really. See, Mayor of San Jose, California Chuck Reed has come up with a challenge that would be benefiting residents and homeowners. According to the mayor, he is calling on solar installers from Silicon Valley to come up with a really good plan which would help homeowners and residents of the area be able to put up solar panels in their homes without having to shell out money.

The mayor added, “Many residents have told me that they’d love to switch to clean, green energy, but they can’t afford to pay for the system upfront. My challenge to companies is to find a way to make solar work for these families.” He added that he has given these companies 60 days to be able to find a solution to the challenge.

At present, putting up a home solar system would mean shelling out $20,000 to $30,000 and that is a big amount for some families.
