Taking Steps Towards A Healthier Lifestyle With SmallStep.Gov

Yesterday I posted about how the internet has changed the way we look into health and medical affairs. Today is going to be similar. A lot of people want to live healthier and just don’t know how to start. They see programs on television trying to promote a healthier lifestyle but most of the time it’s infomercial’s attempting to market a diet pill, a colon cleansing program or the next great exercise machine. They never really show you how to start living more healthy.

The United States Government has a lot of problems…we know this, however they have a lot of great programs out there that get overlooked by the larger scale problems such as scandals and things like that. Believe it or not they would like you to live better, eat better and exercise.

Small Step.Gov is a website by the U.S. Department of Health And Human small stepServices. There they have daily health tips, learn portion control, start an activity tracker and find a local program near you. There is all sorts of great information on this site and there are also some great links. So if you want to start living healthier and you’re not quite sure how or where to start, then try Smallstep.gov.

You can watch a few videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/nyumoy to learn more. They are more geared towards children but they still carry a strong message.
