Talk Yourself Out Of Overeating

I have a relaxing weekend planned for myself. I’ll be alone, without my kids, and I plan to take full advantage of it. At first, I grew a little anxious, afraid I’d mess up my weight loss over the next few days. When I’m away from home I tend to eat a lot more and a lot more of the bad stuff than I do when I’m at home. But I know I won’t this time, and I’m going to tell you why.

I had a little chat with myself this morning.

Sometimes you have to talk yourself into, or out of, situations. In my case, I needed to remind myself of how far I’ve come, how much weight I’ve already lost, and why I’m losing weight to begin with.

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, don’t lock yourself indoors all weekend. Get out and have a good time. Enjoy yourself. More importantly, when you eat, be conscious of every bite you take. And when you feel like overeating, “just because” talk you’re right out of it.
