Tangled Thread “Tags & Tie-Dyes” contest

I thought that it’s been too long since I’ve hosted a contest on Tangled Thread… I’m giving away on of my DH’s copper fiber art tags, this one says “Love” in block letters. I had so many responses about my hand-dyed quilting cottons that I’ve decided to also include five 4 inch squares of the colors you see here!
Okay, now the rules: Due to shipping costs, the contest is open to residents of the continental USA and Canada. To enter, just leave a comment on this post, describing what you’re going to do with the tag and the fabric. The contest will run until Saturday, April 26th, and I will hold a random draw on the 27th to determine a winner. I’ll write a post on the 27th announcing the winner’s name. The winner will have three days to contact me to claim their prize – I’ll draw another name after that.

Wow. This is great. I love hand made things. The fabric will go into a bag I want to make. I think I’ll incorporate the tag into the bad and maybe add some beading to match.

12 x 12 inch black backing. Attach 4 inch squares in corners and center. Attach LOVE onto center lower empty square. Frame. put on wall.

I would use the tag on a purse that I have made for my niece.
The fabric would go nto an upcoming project. It looks very quiltable.

Hand dyes, yummy just like candy! What to do……hmmm, touch them, hold them, admire them and then put them in one of my art quilts. Of course the tage would find a home in that quilt as well. Oh I do hope you pick me =D!
I would definitely use it in a baby blanket. With the tag incorporated on the side somewhat like a label.
To be honest I would look at and touch the fabric a bit before I decide what to do with it. I sew every day and sometimes just holding the fabric against different things and thinking about it leads to the best inspiration.
I would love to use both the tag and fabrics to make a pillow for my mom for mother’s day. She loves Tie-Dye!
My kids are learning to sew, and would love to make a quilt this summer.

I would make something for my wall out of the tag and I’d probably embroider on the fabric and make a blanket or something out of it.
I would use it to line some crocheted bags and use the tag on one of the bags I give away as a gift.

My first thought was “I’d make a bag” but I see now how, umm, original that was! haha! I’m also trying my hand at patchwork, those colors would be great in a quilt.

I love to scrapbook, so I think I would put the tag on the front of a scrapbook. I love the colors of the tie dye pieces, so I may out them in a frame with pictures or make something woth them.
The tag I will probably use in a scrapbook and the fabric will go towards making quilts for my kids.
