Tantrums are fun

My littlest turned two a few days ago and I think when she was born she came equipped with a special tantrum switch. She’s had little mini tantrums in the past, but it was like she was gearing up for the real deal and as soon as she turned two, someone flipped that switch and hoo boy.

temper tantrumIt’s so hard not to laugh. I know when I’m really angry about something I would be completely enraged if someone laughed at me, so I try my best but sometimes I have to duck around the corner and giggle. It’s just funny! She’s this little tiny thing, and yet she has so much fury in her when she has a tantrum. She’ll scream louder than a pack of high school girls, bang her foot, run away, and then to top it all off, she throws herself dramatically onto her stomach on the floor and buries her head in her arms.

It’s like having a small version of the most dramatic teenaged girl you can think of.

It won’t always be funny. Tantrums become less humourous the older they get so I guess I’d better enjoy the hilarity of a pint-sized ball of wrath while it’s still amusing!
