Target After Christmas Clearance Sale Guide

Monthly Consumer Prices Continue To Fall At Record Rate

As Target discounts Christmas merchandise to 50%, people storm the stores in search of bargains. However, even if it is on sale, not everything is a good buy. Here are the things we like to shop for at this point:

Christmas dishes

Toys that will have classic appeal. (Always avoid toys from this year’s hot movies. They probably won’t be popular next year.)

Paper towels, plastic wrap and ziplock bags with Christmas packaging

Gift sets that do not have perishable items (Unless we want to use the perishable items ourselves!)

Special gifts like car coolers or emergency car kits that won’t last to 90% off.

Clothing and socks with Christmas designs

At 75% and 90% off, we shop for:

Paper plates and napkins (At 50%, they aren’t really a good deal per plate or napkin.)

Wrapping paper

Clear tape

Gift tags

Decorations

One package of adhesive backed bows (From past years, we’ve discovered that the adhesive doesn’t last forever, so we just get one fresh pack a year.)

Stockings to replace the ones that went home with people

Stocking stuffers (Not putty or slime. They don’t last well.)

You may recall that I am into a thrifty lifestyle. So, why would I, a thrifty person, go spend good money on clearanced Target stuff after Christmas? Well, when I buy items at 50-90% off this year, I don’t have to buy them at full price next November! In addition, my mom has a 10% off coupon and I have several gift cards that I’ve been saving so that I don’t run up a bill during my “spending spree” at Target. I will have the majority of my stocking stuffers purchased by the beginning of January for well below the retail price and I will have several very nice gifts socked away, too.

Now, I have a question for you. Is there something you always look for during Target Christmas clearance sales?
