Tax Girl

It’s tax time. That’s right. It’s where you add up what you made, subtract your deductions, inter your info in Turbo Tax, say a prayer that you won’t get audited and hope for a big return.

If you’re like me, you’re in fact counting on a big return to pay off debt and/or replace your car or buy a new couch. In other words, you’ve already either spent your return or have it earmarked for something you might not get otherwise.

Which makes you (and me) very emotionally invested in the final number of your tax return.

One of your New Year’s Resolutions might be to keep better records or understand how deductions work for you before you get to this place next year.

In which case, Tax Girl (aka: Kelly Phillips Urb), sort of a mathematical superhero this time of year, disguised as a tax attorney and blogger, to the rescue.

We kissed tax returns goodbye last year. I hear this is a good thing, but paying in money stinks.
